I
got a chance to visit the Sapugaskanda Purana Raja Maha Vijaraya (‘Gale
Pansala’) after long time. I used to go to Sunday school in here when I was a
child.
The
temple has great historical value. It is mentioned that this temple was built
by King Walagamba. Recently Sapugaskanda Raja Maha Viharaya has made
arrangements for devotees to worship the statues of 80 great disciples of the
Buddha.
